International Co-op

@ Northeastern University

Explore the World

Globalization creates an imperative for colleges and universities to prepare students to be citizens of the world.

At Northeastern, international cooperative education is a great way for students to develop the knowledge, awareness, perspective, and confidence to feel at home anywhere in the world. And, because experiential learning is Northeastern's particular strength, the connections you will make through international co-op are broader and deeper than what is usually the case with standard foreign study abroad programs.

Northeastern students can pursue an international cooperative education position anywhere in the world. We also offer outstanding opportunities for combining overseas study and work.

Some of the benefits of a Northeastern international co-op include:

  • Explore international career options
  • Gain exposure to the global market place
  • Develop intercultural and political sensitivity
  • Utilize and strengthen foreign language skills
