Some patterns that we found were that there were more plants in the sun than in the shade. We think that it is because plants need sun to photosynthesize. There also seemed to be more plants on the ground than in the air. And we think a greater variety of plants and animals existed away from the trail because only the hardiest plants and animals survive the general trampling of plants near the path.

We didn't actually find any fungi, but we know that they're there, decomposing and stuff.

Some of the organisms we found were in groups of 1, or only found once.

Diversity
We found that as we went further into the woods the more life we saw, the thickness of bushes grew, the animal scurrying through the under brush grew so that you had to watch where you were stepping.
Factors Affecting What Was Found
One thing that most likely affected the amount of animals we found was the amount of loud noisy kids stomping around in the woods.
Native/Non-native
I think most of the plants/animals that we saw and took pictures of are native.
