Classroom News!
Happy New Year to you! We hope that you had a fun and restful winter break. It was wonderful to see your children back in Kindergarten and we have slipped back easily into our routine.
The children have returned to school bigger, more mature and far more independent than they were at the start of the year. Starting in January, It is appropriate for us to have higher expectations for their work and responsibilities.
This month we are learning about Bears in the wild. Later on in the month we will also explore the history of the teddy bear.
On our first day back, we read "What Do You Do With An Idea?" by Kobi Yamada. The children cut out and colored their own peace birds; each bird had a written message about how your child could help make the world a better place. The birds are gently "flying" from the ceiling in the classroom.
