Sunnymead Middle Stallion News
Week of October 12th 2020
Dear Families and School Community,
Please look around and see the beautiful world we live in is. As an educator I make it a goal to learn new tasks or facts daily. Find something in your environment and research it. Today as I walked into the school I noticed an interesting bird and wanted to know more about it. Thus, I went online and researched. The bird was a Northern Rough-winged Swallow by Ninad Thakoor. I found this at birds that are native to UCR and the area. Always look at your surroundings and try to get to know them as best as possible. knowledge is endless.
Thank you to everyone who has been participating in the virtual events brought to you by ASB. Our students leaders in ASB and our marvelous teacher Mrs. Stromberg and Mrs. Fischer are always leading the fun online. Please follow us at @SMMSMV on twitter and Instagram and follow our ASB at @sunnymead_asb.
Last week was college week. We had so many fun activities that occurred. All of our scholars are leading the way towards a successful future. It is never too early to plan your future. Set your goals to lead your success. Think of a 2 year, a 5 year, and a 10 year goal. When you make these goals make a plan to make it successful. You will start to make it happen. Always believe in yourself and know that you are Amazing!
Recently several home visits have occurred by the Stallion Center, counselors, and administration. During these visits we find out valuable information on how to improve students digital environments and how we can support students and families. Parents if you are in need of any supports (including Internet hot spots) please reach out anytime.
This month is a new month and we are celebrating Anti-Bullying month. We have several ways to get ahold of any teacher or support staff on site. You can utilize the following anti bullying link or use the QR code below to report bullying on the official form. Also, watch the anti bullying video below.
Students please report any bullying. We are here to support.
At our school we follow the Kaizen Way! Meaning we are all making small positive incremental changes to improve everything in the school community.
Remember the following quote:
