Homecoming Week 2022
Parade / Game / Dance
The game is against one of our biggest rivals the Manistee Chippewas. This game marks one of the longest standing football rivalries in high school football. Game time is set for 7:00 pm and at halftime the homecoming court will be announced.
We are excited to have a normal dance at the high school this school year. It will mark the first time we've held this event in Hawley gym in over 15 years. The dance runs from 8:00 pm until 11:00 pm.
Have a great weekend!

Oriole Field Student Section
Home games
Ludington High School has worked to preserve our long standing tradition of having our Oriole Field student section in the endzone for home football games. Other area schools do not allow students in this area during games. Staff and students have worked hard to hold on to this special privilege. In order to do so, we need to be consistent with certain key policies.
LHS students are the only ones allowed in the student section on game nights. We have the ability to supervise and discipline our own students if necessary. Students from other schools or non-students do not fall under our student handbook. In years past and this year at away games, there have been numerous incidents where non-LHS students have caused problems. This is the reason for our LHS students only policy for our student section. We have not allowed non-students in the student section for several years. This year we are taking proactive steps to be very consistent in an effort to preserve our end zone student section tradition.
This year we are roping off the student section to maintain a safe distance from the field. We are working with student leaders and maintenance staff to adjust bleacher positions and standing areas so that all LHS students can safely enjoy their student section experience.
Finally, those who have attended a home event at Oriole Field will notice the student section bleachers have been replaced. Our former bleachers did not pass inspection and we were forced to remove them. Luckily, with updates happening to the softball field (including new bleachers) we were able to take those bleachers for the student section this year.

October is College Month!
PLC days
Monthly- Professional development days
The acronym PLC stands for Professional Learning Communities. These days allow our staff to have ongoing training throughout the school year. Much of it involves teaching techniques and content specific strategies to help students be successful. These days are also used to partner with our local law enforcement teams to help do safety training throughout our district.
Thank you's
FloraCraft. &. Wesco
We'd also like to thank Wesco for there sponsorship this month. During the month of October, for every fountain drink or slushy purchased at either location in Ludington, a portion of that sale will be donated back to Ludington High School.
