Youth ages 5-17 are invited to participate in the Eaton Rapids Health Alliance’s #HealthiER19 Summer Passport Challenge! Fun prizes are on the line! Download and print your very own passport and instructions at the button below. #HealthiER19 runs from June 15th to August 16th, 2019.
Complete activities in the passport to become eligible to win fun prizes redeemable in Eaton Rapids. For all the information, go to: https://eatonrapidshealthalliance.org/. If you don't have access to a printer, you can pick up a printed copy of the passport and instructions at Eaton Rapids Medical Center. You can "check out" FREE or discounted admission passes (or other exclusive offers) to hundreds of Michigan state parks, campgrounds, museums, trails, arts & cultural destinations, and more (including Potter Park Zoo, County Parks, etc.). Free Paddle Tuesdays at the Outdoor Recreation Center
Eaton Rapids FREE Downtown Discovery Paddle Outdoor Recreation Center (ORC)
Every Tuesday night beginning June 11th from 5 p.m. to 7p.m., the ORC is offering a free paddle leaving from Mill Point Park, paddling up around the island and back.
We know how beautiful the river is from downtown, come see it up close.
Farmers Market Wednesdays
Eaton Rapids Medical Center holds a Farmers Market in the hospital parking lot each Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. through October 2, 2019. The market accepts SNAP EBT (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Electronic Benefit Transfer) Bridge Cards, WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Project FRESH, Senior Project FRESH, Market FRESH Coupons, and Double Up Food Bucks.
It also features free recipes, health information, and cooking demonstrations throughout the summer. The Eaton Rapids Area District Library provides children's activities each week.
Free ERMC HealthWorks Fitness Center Wednesdays
Eaton Rapids Medical Center HealthWorks Free Fitness Center Wednesdays: The hospital health center is free on Wednesdays 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the Farmer’s Market Season for those 12+. Anyone under 16 must have a parent present.

Got Stress? Parenting Support Classes
CHOICES Teen and Parent Education Classes: Free five-week early intervention program for parents and their 13- to 17-year-old youth who have experimented with alcohol, e-cigarettes, marijuana or other drugs. The course equips parents and teens to learn to better communicate, handle stress, strengthen bonds, prevent further substance use or risk behaviors and much more. RAISE Them Up Parenting Classes for parents of youth ages 0 to 12. Free class series Tuesdays August 6, 13, 20, 27 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Eaton County. Parents will learn about developing appropriate expectations, effective positive discipline techniques, parenting with empathy, identifying family roles, and personal power/autonomy.
