Celebration
Planning for 2020-2021 School Year
Thank you to everyone that has supplied feedback through our conversations or the survey for next year. My goal is to allow everyone to be heard and provide input for next year.
I would like to extend the invitation to everyone else that has not had an opportunity to speak with me about next school year. If we have already spoken and you would like to meet again, I would like to extend the same opportunity. Please send me a few times that we can meet, and I would be happy to discuss further with you!
Any changes that will be made to certified assignments will be communicated the week of March 23 per 9.4 of the Negotiated Agreement.
March Book Madness Continues next Week!
Classroom books will be available in labeled baskets located on the table in the Instructional Support Room. Many of the books are library books so please return the books to the baskets as soon as you are done reading them to your class to ensure they do not get misplaced. Please coordinate with your grade levels throughout the week to ensure all classes have had the chance to read both assigned books. Caroline will send an email next week with the link to submit your class vote. Week 3 titles and match ups will be announced after the votes have been calculated.
Pop Up Store, coming to Army Trail
Similar to the previous order in January, every certified staff member will be allocated money to purchase books. Rob and Caroline will communicate the amounts with each specific group of teachers.
Autism Awarness Month
The district-wide Autism Awareness T-shirt sale will begin on Monday, March 2nd and will close on Tuesday, March 10th. The PDF Flyer is attached with a link that goes directly to the order form. The sale is open to ALL staff, students, and family members! Please add information about the T-shirt sale, or the flyer itself, to any weekly modes of communication that you use with your staff, families and students. You are encouraged to print and hang around them your school building as well! A district-wide email with the flyer and link will be sent out on Monday to promote the T-shirt sales.
Thank you for your support with promoting Autism Awareness Month!

5th Grade - Illinois Science Assessment
The testing windows for the ISA assessment is quickly approaching. The testing window is outlined below.
- IL Science Assessment (ISA) - 5th Grade Only: March 2 - April 30
Please see info below for ISA. Any questions- please let me know…
- All students who enroll in the district during the window must take the ISA Assessment. If they are not showing up in the ISA, please let Rob know.
- Where do students take test? The ISA exam browser is on the home screen of the Chromebook (they do not login to their Chromebooks). Student instructions (how to login, access accessibility features, etc.)
- Access Codes: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1xLfoEzMsr8q46dIxvN9nF4rTiq8_d2ha
- New for the 2020 ISA - Students will be required to complete three (3) different test sections to complete the entire ISA exam. The test sections will appear as three tests on the Assigned Tests page, and students will need a unique access code to take each test section. To maintain test security, only print and distribute the set of access codes for the current test section to students at a time. Students within a class/session must start the section together, work at their own paces to finish, then start the next section together if testing more than one section in the same day. Students cannot be issued all codes at once.
- Where do teachers login to administer the test? Teachers and admins will login here: https://teach-isa.ileducates.org/
- Instructions for managing/administering the test can be found: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Vq8tU8-_rLGk3RZGWwjAvkPHBcTEXScN
