Apple security Vs. Android security

"The most basic reason that the iPhone is more secure than Android smartphones is that the Android Operating System is open source. This means that literally anyone – from smartphone developers to anyone with an internet connection – can access the code that comprises the Android Operating System.
On one hand, open source technology encourages innovation from developers all over the world and adds to the functionality and creativity behind the Android Operating System.
On the other hand, this also allows hackers to more easily come in and understand the underlying architecture of the system and develop spyware, Trojans, worms and other forms of malware for the Android Operating System.
The Apple iPhone's operating system is proprietary and imposes whats called a sandbox concept. This sophisticated method isolates pieces of the platform and largely prevents viruses from replicating. In fact, there are no know operating system viruses for any of Apple's products (Jessica Drew)."

GPS on your cell phone

Turning off your GPS is a good thing to do because it can be very dangerous to have everyone know where you have been. How can they tell where you have been? Well, they can tell from just you uploading a picture or even a status on Facebook. And, just think if they can see that through Facebook imagine what other ways people can track you. The key to stopping this all is turn off your GPS by switching location on to location off.
