This Week in S-3
Please continue to work with your child to memorize their personal information. This is very important. Thank you for turning in your personal information homework sheets. The children were able to write down their information and will now have opportunities to practice it in school.
Please check your child's green folder daily and empty out any papers that come home. There is a permission slip and field trip information coming home tonight.
Thank you to those who donated to our class party. I know it will be a blast. Parents can still send donations to our homeroom mom Anna Perkins. Our class scarecrow will be Rainbow Dash. She will be on display outside of our classroom and entered into a contest. Please contact Mrs. Perkins with donations, ideas or volunteer times for the scarecrow construction.
Lastly, if you are in the market for books, please consider ordering your books from Scholastic Book Club online. Each online order gets us $3 for classroom library books. Online ordering information can be found on the first grade website.
Philip is cool!
This week we celebrated Philip! We learned all about his awesome family! He loves playing with his brother Tobias and swimming in the pool. He has great dance moves and loves to eat hot dogs. Philip always follows the Doyle 5 and is great friend to have Woo hoo Philip!
Celebrate Education Week
This week our classroom will be open for visits. First grade visitation times are Tuesday 9:00-10:40 and Thursday 1:00- 2:20. We are excited to welcome our families into the school so they can see what we do here in class. We hope you can join us!
Booktender's Book Fair This Week
This week we will be going to the book fair. If you'd like, please send in some money with your child to purchase a book. Please know that this is optional. Many children will be window shopping so don't feel pressured to send money.
