What's Going On At Liberty Elementary 11/16/18
Science Fair Boards
We are taking orders for science fair display boards. The cost of a board and labels is $4.00. They come as a bundled set. Please make checks payable to Liberty Elementary PTA. Boards may also be purchased at teacher stores, office supply stores, and some discount retailers. The PTA offers these boards for order as a matter of convenience. Science Fair is mandatory for 4th grade students, optional for all other grade levels.
The order form for Science Fair Boards is attached below. Orders are due November 28th and the boards will go home before Winter Break.
Old Kentucky Chocolates
Money is collected each morning between 7:15-7:45 each morning in the gym. Students can turn in money and collect more candy bars with the pink form included in each bag or a signed note from the parent.
*Almond and peanut butter bars MUST be picked up by an adult in the morning at drop off or by appointment*
Scholastic Book Fair
A big thank you to everyone that helped with the book fair! We couldn't have done it without everyone that shopped, volunteered for set up, tear down, helped run the registers, donated food, or participated in Breakfast with Books and the Family Night!
Bottle Cap Collection!
Bottle cap collection for benches is here! Last year was a huge success! We collected 800 pounds of caps which earned us two 6 foot benches which are now placed in the front of the school. This year our goal is to collect 1,200 pounds to get three more benches. You can send your cleaned plastic caps with your student and they can bring it to the science lab before the bell rings at 7:45 a.m.
Acceptable caps are plastic that have the recycle numbers of 2, 4, or 5. This can include flip tops, sour cream or butter lids, water bottle, and soda lids. To view the acceptable caps list visit www.greentreeplastics.com/abc-program/.
