LPCS Panther's Paw on Mrs. Ellis, our New Principal
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all the families, community members, teachers and staff. My name is Michelle Ellis and I am the new principal and CSE chairperson here at Lake Pleasant Central School. I originally started my teaching career at Edinburg Common School, where I also completed my administration coursework through SUNY Plattsburgh. As we all know, working in smaller districts we wear many hats. Some of my experiences include CSE Director, Response to Intervention Coordinator, Curriculum Director and the Community Liaison. I was able to build solid connections within our community and sustain reading and writing programs that increased student achievement.
I live in Mayfield, NY with husband, Robert. We have three daughters, Carly, Stephanie and Abigail and two grandsons, Nathan and Julian. Our family LOVES sports. We love baseball, ice hockey and football.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for such a warm welcome thus far. I had the opportunity to work with several students and staff members during the summer school program. This made a nice transition into the 2018-2019 school year. I look forward to working with everyone!

Lake Pleasant Education Foundation
In the past, Lake Pleasant Central School had a committee called the Education Foundation that operated very much like a Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The Education Foundation supports and organizes family events, field trips, classroom learning opportunities and fundraisers to support ongoing school-wide events.
Lake Pleasant would like to establish that committee again and needs your help. Please be on the lookout for more information in the upcoming months or contact Mrs. Thompson in the office or Mrs. Ellis if you have interest in joining our committee. Don't have time to join a committee? No worries! The Lake Pleasant Education Foundation will need volunteers periodically through the year. Stay tuned for more details.
