ReCreate Rec April Update

PARC needs assessment finished!

Hello Fellow Recreators!

Good news! The PARC Needs Assessment Study is finished and Agnew Beck representative Heather Stewart will be presenting to the Homer City Council during tomorrow night's meeting, Monday April 27th at 6pm. This is your invitation to become updated on what has been going on with the ongoing Rec discussion in Homer. Tune in to KBBI AM 890 or come on down to the Council Chambers and listen to a 10 minute presentation. The questions, comments and discussion which will happen during this meeting will hopefully give those of you who would like an update, food for thought. If you would like to view the final draft online, here is the link Final Draft PARC Needs Assessment 4.22.15.

The PARC needs assessment steering commitee will be meeting during the first week in May to discuss the next step and ReCreate Rec will host a follow up meeting to discuss informally the needs assessment results and the role which we could play in the summer months. Thanks for all of your individual support and interest throughout this process to improve and stabilize our Recreational options in and around Homer. It's been a long haul (2 years) since this discussion began and I sincerely hope we can get some real outcomes by participating in and launching off the results of this study into a plan which will be calculated and affordable and beneficial.

Happy Spring!

Kate Crowley
