Instruction
Collaborative Partnerships
All classes have the opportunity to collaborate with me on any type of lessons. 24 collaborative lessons took place in the library during the month of September.
- ART - All K - 2nd grade classes participated in Dot Day activities with the library and art teacher.
- Cyber Safety -- 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes came in for Cyber Safety lessons co-taught by the ELA teacher and the librarian.
- 4th grade - 3 of the 4th grade classes came in for a lesson over identifying genres.

Highlights
This month we had CyberSafety awareness throughout the district. Over 30 students participated in the Cyber Safety poster contest. A fifth grader won the contest, and will move on to the district level.
Library Usage
Visits to the Library
- All classes visited the library for orientation during the first 2 weeks of school.
- 8 classes visited for Dot Day.
- 20 classes visited for Cyber Safety Lessons.
Circulation Statistics
- 5,152 books were checked out from the library during the month of September.
- 87 holds were placed on library books during the month of September.
- 311 new books added to the Hillside collection.
