Don't Forget to "Spring" Forward Clocks Saturday Night
Don't forget to spring your clocks forward Saturday night before you go to bed. I am hoping we spring into some sunny days ahead and we leave this rain behind.
Sheri will be holding the GMAS Testing Training Tuesday morning at 7:30am for ALL staff. I still can't believe GMAS is just a few short weeks away. This year continues to fly by! I guess the old sayings, 'Time flies when you're having fun' or 'The older you get, the faster time goes by' are true for me because I love serving as your principal (fun) and I am definitely getting older (50)!
Have a great weekend and enjoy the SUNSHINE!
We love and appreciate all YOU do!
Sheri, Yolanda & Laura

Pink and Blue Cards for Class Lists
We will be creating class lists for next school year on April 8 and April 9, during grade level planning. Please complete your Pink and Blue Cards by April 8, making sure to include ALL the information requested. If you have new students that have enrolled, Raiya will print a student information label, place it on a pink or blue card, and then place the card(s) in your mailbox. If you find you are still short a pink or blue card, please see Raiya and she will get one for you.
Teachers will also need to place the 3M sticky flags to the pink and blue cards based on the information below. Please see your grade chair for the 3M flags.
Yellow ~ FOCUS Students
Purple ~ IRR
Pink ~ Speech
Green ~ ESOL ~ Direct Services
Red ~ Behavior Concerns
Blue ~ Advanced Content Math Students (Grades 2, 3 & 4)

Coronavirus Information
I know many of you are concerned about the Coronavirus. The district is keeping up with reports and CDC recommendations and will keep us informed as needed.
In the meantime, there are things we can do here at school:
· The number one recommendation is to have a hand sanitizing station in your room (ask parents for donations). If you would require your students to wash their hands every time they enter your classroom, it would greatly reduce the germs in your class, thus, reducing illness in you and your students. We do not know what germs the students are bringing with them from home, daycare, buses, etc. If you have a sink in your room, please have them wash their hands with soap and water. If a sink is not readily available, you can use hand sanitizer. Please check your bottles to make sure they have at least 60% alcohol.
· Please ensure your students are using the hand sanitizer on the way in and out of the Cafeteria. Some teachers tell me they do not do this because they wash their hands in their room or bathroom, but the kids are touching the walls, doors, handrails, and their faces on the way to the cafeteria.
· If you see a student touch their face, have them wash their hands or sanitize.
· Remind your students to cough into their elbow. Model what this looks like.
· Students need to see you doing the same thing, i.e. washing when you enter a room, not touching your face, coughing into your elbow, etc.
· Wipe down all surfaces in your classroom with Vindicator each day.
Thanks for all you do...we can officially add germ attacker to the list of jobs we do each and every day! Y'all are amazing!
