What is Mrs. Garver Reading?
Thanks to a recommendation by Maddie, I am reading The Warden's Daughter by Jerry Spinelli. I loved his other books, so I was pretty sure I would love this one, too. The main character is an unhappy girl, mostly because her mother died when she was a baby. She and her father live in an apartment above the county jail because her father is the warden. She spends a lot of time by herself, riding her bike around town, and with her best friend, Reggie. I would recommend this book to readers who like realistic stories with a little bit of mystery.
