Hello!!
I hope everyone had a GREAT weekend! Doesn't this cooler weather feel great?? With that in mind, please make sure your child comes to school with weather-appropriate clothing; light coat/sweatshirt...maybe even a raincoat? I guess we'll see later this week! Looking forward to an AWESOME week!
What's Happening This Week!
2nd Grade has a lot to learn this week!! For Science/Social Studies the class will be learning about Patterns in the Sky, Rocks, Natural vs. Man made Resources. For math, the class will model Counting & Modeling Two- & Three-Digit Numbers (place value), measurement. For spelling, Unit 6: into, has, more, her, two. For phonics: we will focus on some sounds are spelled more than one way Ex: too/two/to, two/twice/twin. For writing, we will work with
Letter Writing/Beginning, Middle, and End. In reading, the focus will be on; Fiction: Story Elements (characters, setting, problem, events, solution).
