Reminders from the First Day!!

Today was a fantastic day at LaPerche! The kids came in with so much excitement and enthusiasm and the staff at LaPerche matched them smile for smile! I hope your little one shared some of that excitement with you tonight. My 5th and 2nd graders, who both attend LaPerche, had lots to share about all of their new teachers and friends (although it took some prodding)!

I had the pleasure of visiting each class and delivering popsicles to all of the hard working LaPerche Staff and Students! You can see some of Mrs. Moretti's third graders enjoying their popsicles below.

Below are some reminders for students:

* Wear your closed toe shoes everyday! Closed toe shoes are shoes that cover your toes and keep you safe on the playground. Heels should also be covered, such as in a sneaker, or have a strap.

* Bring a water bottle to school everyday!

* Wear a hat and/or sunglasses to school each day!

* Wear your sunscreen to school each day!

* Wear short sleeves and shorts and bring a sweatshirt in case you are in an air conditioned room.

Today, each family should have received a family folder full of information about LaPerche. Please complete the forms and return by Friday, September 4. Thank you!

Daily Transportation Form

A few weeks back, I sent all families a welcome letter that included a BLUE TRANSPORTATION FORM.

Please complete one form for each child ASAP and return to school. We refer to the forms daily as we strive to get every student to the correct final destination. Thank you!

Extra Fan??

As you may have heard, many classrooms at LaPerche can get quite warm. While our inside classrooms are air conditioned, our classrooms on the perimeter of the building are not. Classroom teachers would love to have extra fans in the room during these first weeks of school. Do you happen to have an extra fan at your house that you would like to loan to the school? If so, please write your name on it and send it in to school. Thank you in advance for helping to keep the kids cool!

More to Come Soon!!
