The 10 major body systems are, the Circulatory, Digestive, Endocrine, Muscular, Reproductive, Execretory, Respiratory, Urinary, Integumentary and Nervous System
Circulatory system
Function- The Circulatory System is responsible for supplying a continuous flow of nutrients and oxygen to every cell in the body.
Major organ- heart, brain, lungs
Digestive System
Function- The Digestive System breaks down the food we eat separating the nutrients, and then assimilates them for use.
Major organ- large intestines, small intestine, stomach, gall bladder, liver and pancrease
Endocrine System
Function- collection of glands of an organism that secrete hormones directly into the circulatory system to be carried toward a distant target organ.
Major organs- pituitary gland, thyroid, adrenal glands, and reproductive glands
Muscular System
Function- There are various functions of the muscular system and some of these are: creation of movement, protection of organs and pumping of blood, and easing of blood flow.
Major organs- Gonads, Spleen
Reproduction System
Major organs- include the external genitalia and many internal organs including gamete producing gonads.
Excretory System
Major organs- kidneys
Respiratory System
Major organ- lungs
Urinary System
Major organs- kidneys
Integumentary System
Major organs- hair, nails
Nervous System
Major organs- brain
