Message from the Principal
The holidays are a time for family to come together to celebrate tradition and to learn the reason for the season. While Christmas and Hanukkah tend to be to be the dominant winter holidays in American culture, December is a month with several other holidays, too. Teaching children about how different cultures and religions celebrate these holidays can do wonders for their ability to respect other cultures and expand their worldview. Some important holidays and celebrations this month include: Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Las Posadas.

Coffee with the Principal is EVERY Thursday from 10:00am-10:15am in English, and 10:15am-10:30am in Spanish.

AGENDAS
Middle school students are highly encouraged and All AVID elective students MUST use an agenda to write down their assignments. Using an agenda helps students to remember if they completed the work in class or if they need to finish it for homework. Please middle school parents encourage your students to write their assignments down so could help them keep on top of their assignments. Having their assignments written down in one place will also make it easy for them to set goals of what assignment needs to get done when.
