Colt Corner
#TeamCMS
April 26, 2019
Colts,
Every month our students and faculty have an opportunity to vote on our campus Teacher of the Month. This month our Colts voted on recognizing Mrs. Bridget Visser, one of our English Language Arts teachers as this month's recipient. Mrs. Visser is one of the many examples of teachers that we pride ourselves in at CMS. It is teachers and staff like her that always put kids first, while maintaining academic standards that drive our students to personal growth and keeping their social/emotional needs and positive student-relationships at the forefront. Education can be a very tough job as we enter into the month of May, knowing that summer is right around the corner. I am happy that we are able to use our student voice to honor our staff and students for their commitment to our Colt community. These examples of student voice and great individuals at CMS are just another way that together we make our school one of the BEST around!

ARENA SCHEDULING: The arena scheduling window opens for current 8th graders at 7:00 a.m. April 29 and will remain open until May 1. Students must use their own login/password for arena scheduling - they will not be able to use parent login/password. CMS counselors taught 8th grade guidance lessons on April 15th, to help students understand the arena scheduling process and to teach them how to create their high school scheduling options before the arena scheduling window actually opens. Everything given to students on April 15th is available in Google Classroom under 8th Grade Guidance. Students can do their arena scheduling at home, but on the morning of April 29th, counselors will be available at 6:40 a.m. in the CMS library to assist students with arena scheduling (parents will not be able to enter the library that morning due to limited space - we want to ensure there is room for every student requesting help.) Use the links below or go to Google Classroom to find more information about the Arena Scheduling process:
