Hosted Events

IHSCGA Hosted Event - March 27th - Volunteers NEEDED

Franklin Central Bands is very excited to host the state finals for IHSCGA on Saturday, March 27th. These events are a tremendous fundraiser and make up a huge portion of our budget. Without these events, your fees would be higher. We need EVERY band family to volunteer and help make this event a success so these opportunities continue to come.

Percussion Symphony

This Week - February 22nd to February 27th

FCPS Places 1st at Franklin Community!

FC Percussion Symphony placed 1st Saturday with a score of 81.15 at Franklin Community. Well Done! You can find all scores on the Indiana Percussion Association website: Feb. 20th IPA Scores

Brand New FC Bands Trailer Takes Maiden Voyage!

We were finally able to take our BRAND NEW FC Bands Trailer out and show it off! Thank you to the Franklin Township Community School Corporation and FC Band Boosters for making this dream come true for our band program!

Greenfield Central High School Competition - Saturday, February 27th

    • Please read this information! It will answer any questions you have!

    • Click on the links to the left once on the page: Live Stream, purchase tickets and directors packet. Lots of helpful info!

  • Below are our Covid traveling guidelines from the Transportation Department.

    • We will be taking two buses. 25 students, 1 adult chaperone on each bus.

    • Masks MUST be worn the entire time.

    • No food or drink are permitted on the bus.

    • 1 student per seat-with the first 3 seats of the bus left open.

    • Students will have to be in full uniform before we leave, no dressing rooms or time allowed to dress is given while at the competition.

    • Battery/Cymbals/Pit~please bring long black socks!

    • Battery/Cymbals will wear their marching shoes, Pit can wear black dress shoes/marching shoes.

    • There will be a lunch and dinner break

    • Students will need to bring a lunch

    • Dinner will be provided.

    • We like to provide dinner for the group for all competitions. Our amazing food lead and parent, Heather Buck, has created a sign up sheet for all our competition dinners. If you have any questions regarding dinner sign ups, please contact Heather at hbuck@comcast.net

WGI Release and Waiver Form

We still have a few members who have not turned in their release and waiver form for WGI. Please turn these in asap to Mrs. Lee.

Fundraiser Money

If you have not turned in your fundraiser money, please do so ASAP! Please place it in the white box inside the band room.

Band Payment

Our 3rd payment of $170 was due Feb 1. Please be sure to make your payments on time. If you need to set up a payment plan or discuss payment arrangements, please reach out to the Band Booster Treasurer at: treasurer@fcbands.org

Sign up for Remind by adding fcbands-ip in the Remind app or by sending @fcbands-ip

via text message to 81010. Remind will be used to send out important updates throughout the season.

Show Day Info - Saturday, February 27th

The next competition will be held at Mt. Vernon High School. Only 2 parents/guardians per guard member are able to attend at this time. Tickets are $7 each (credit card only, no cash sales) and sold at the door. Parking - Enter off 200W, by the tennis courts. Parking is located on the north and west side of the school. Please enter through Door 17. Masks must be worn in the building.

Varsity - 2:50pm

LASt Call! - Spirit Buttons

Last call for button pictures will be Tuesday, February 23rd from 5:15pm - 6:30pm. We will be set up in the band room. Show hair and makeup is required. Buttons can be ordered at the link below.

Chaperone Sign-Up

We need a chaperone for JV on March 20th for the Plainfield competition. You will have backstage access to the show! This is an exciting way to watch the guards warm up, practice, and perform. If you’re interested, please sign up below and make sure to have a current FTCSC background check on file. We will have a quick meeting before the season starts for new chaperones. Background checks can be completed using the link below, and must be completed before chaperoning. The process can take up to 2 weeks.

Box Truck Driver Needed

We need a box truck driver for the March 27 competition. If interested, please send an email to guardliaison@fcbands.org.

Spirit and Food Donations

With the show season just around the corner, please check your email for spirit and food donation sign ups. The guard parents have a history of putting together treat bags and lunches for the guard members before each show.

Band Payments - Timely payments are essential!

We have quite a few people that are behind on band fees. Timely payments are essential. Please bring your account current now or contact the Treasurer at: treasurer@fcbands.org to set up a payment arrangement.

Spirit Wear/Swag

The winter guard spirit wear store will be opening soon! A link to the store will be provided once it is open. Make sure to get spirit wear for the entire family!

Spring Flower Fundraiser - March 15th

Spring Flower Fundraiser is Coming!

On Monday, March 15th we will kick off the Spring Flower Fundraiser. We will be selling 9 varieties of 9" hanging baskets that will be delivered before Mother's Day (May 9th). The money raised will go to student band accounts for the purpose of funding marching band fees. Watch for more details in 3 weeks!
