Smoking cigarettes can have a many big impacts on your health like COPD and many other cancers. Smoking is one of the biggest killers in the world with over a 1,000 health risks which can make you die young. Its one of the worst habits ever because its expensive, makes your hair and clothes smelly, but can also makes your fingers yellow.
RISKS WITH SMOKING
Lung cancer is the UK's biggest killer with 1 in 16 deaths related to smoking. Brain tumours, leukaemia and skin cancers are just some of the unlimited risks of smoking.
By quitting smoking it will decrease these effects for example you will see benefits after 24 hours, so by after 10 years your lung cancer percentage will be halved.
STOPTOBER
One of the biggest UK's events to make a smoker stop for a month and make them more likely to quit. It runs from 1st October to 31st October every year and makes 1,000s of people quit.
COPD ( CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULUMINARY DISEASE)
It is a cancer that a mixture of emphysema and chronic bronchitis. It is more common in men and usually starts developing after 35 but doesn't usually get spotted to after 50. It is caused by years and years of smoking which takes its toll on the lungs by scarring and blocking the airways. if its spotted in the early stages in some cases it can be cured.
