Principal Corner
Dear Smith Stallions,
It has been a great week! Next week is “STRONG BODY, HEART & MIND” Week! Please see the information below regarding what your child should wear to school each day next week. There is a family challenge for each day also. We will conclude the week with school pictures on Friday morning and FREE POPCORN AND SPRITE on Friday afternoon! It’s going to be a FUN Week!
This morning, our entire school community practiced an Alert Drill and a Lockdown Drill. We explained to the students the importance of practicing these procedures in the event there was an emergency in our building. Our number one priority is to keep our students safe. We also had our monthly Fire Drill. Please take time to visit with your child about the practice drills. Everyone did a great job during our drills. Thank you Smith Stallions for doing a great job.

- LOST & FOUND: Our lost and found is growing! Please be sure to label your child's belongings (jackets, sweatshirts, lunchboxes, water bottles) so that we can return them if they are misplaced. We posted a video on Facebook of the items currently in our Lost & Found. If you see something that belongs to your child, please call the office and let us know.
- ARRIVAL: Please do not drop your children off in the mornings before 7:15 a.m. The doors do not open until 7:15 a.m. so there is not duty personnel available until then. Also, please be sure to only use the right lane to drop off your children. School begins at 7:45 a.m. each day. If you do not arrive by this time, you will need to park to come check your child in at the office.
- DISMISSAL: If your child is a car rider in the afternoon, you will need to have a car tag with your student’s number on it. If you do not have a numbered car tag, please call the office at 479-750-8846 and we will make sure we get a tag made for afternoon pickup. If you do not have a number when you pick up your child, you will need to park and wait for the line to clear. Typically, our car rider dismissal ends at 3:20 p.m. Please try to pick your child up by 3:20 p.m. so that our duty staff are able to leave on time.
