Miss Herbert's Honeybees
November Newsletter
Week of November 4th
This week, we have a very busy and fun schedule in our classroom! Here is what it looks like:
To start, our class will be learning the number 2 for our mathematics lesson! They will be having a blast creating the number two by drawing a worm and singing along with a song about it. Throughout the classroom, we will have several hidden two's that they will find on a "number hunt".
During our reading time we will be reading books that contain rhymes in them. It will be fun for the children to experience how to rhyme words and phrases. They will find two words to rhyme and then they will share which two words they have liked the best during our show and tell.
For social studies, we will be learning who a firefighter is and what their role is in helping keep our community safe. At the end of the week, we will wrap things up by having TWO guest speakers from the local fire station coming in to speak with the children. Parents are welcome and encouraged to come!
School Wide Events:
Reminder that this Friday, from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm, we will be having our annual Fall Festival! It will be a great time for students to interact with one another and for parents to familiarize themselves with teachers and staff. We hope that you will join us! Remember, you may also volunteer for our face painting booth section.
