To work as a bio-medical engineer, one must have at least a bachelor's degree in bio-medical engineering from a program that is accredited by ABET.
(Other Requirements- good problem solving , listening, math, and communication skills.)
Typical Day
-Designing devices that will be used to replace body parts (artificial organs and prosthetic limbs/joints
-Testing designs to make sure that the work properly, are efficient and are safe.
-Communicating with others to help solve a problem. ex. medical scientists and chemists.
Why I'm Interested...
I am interested in this field because:
I have always been interested in new advancements in medicine.
I find the human body systems and components interesting but I don't want to be a doctor. I fell like i am out going and creative enough to go into an engineering field.
