Husky Update
7-1-2020
I wanted to give you a few updates and reminders to keep the lines of communication open. I will send a Husky Update once a week since so much is changing so quickly. Feel free to contact me if you have questions. I have read through your concerns on the Google Survey and will continue to keep your safety as a priority as decisions are made for opening the 2020-2021 school year. I appreciate your honesty and willingness to be there for our students. Your comments are very inspiring!
Although I am waiting for additional state and district guidelines, please know I am working hard behind the scenes to plan a safe re-entry for our students and staff.
- I have purchased plexiglass, sneeze guard shields for front office operations (attendance, registrar, clinic, conference room)
- I have secured touch-free thermometers for temperature checks
- I am refining the touch-free QR reader for self-reporting when entering and leaving the building
- I am securing appropriate masks for all staff members
- I am securing additional hand sanitizers for all areas of the building
- I am in communication with our custodians to support the sanitation of all areas of our building
- I am working on establishing campus-based tasks forces to support safety, academics, and social-emotional supports aligned to our campus priorities
- I monitor the federal, state, and local guidelines for school re-opening daily to share news with you
I promise to share updates as soon as possible with you. I appreciate your understanding, flexibility, patience, and positivity despite these uncertain times. As you can see with our survey results below, we are all on a continuum of readiness to re-enter. I know we will do what's best for our students and staff at the end of the day. We CAN do this together!
Stay Safe, Huskies!

I have a pre-existing condition I need to report to Risk Management!
Risk Management Process for CoVID-19 Related ADA Accommodation Requests:
1. Complete this Google Form Link>https://forms.gle/ybavw9gwnK6726TW6
2. The Google form also prompts you to have a doctor complete the medical certification form documenting your underlying health condition or your family member's underlying health condition. The link is also available on the Risk Management website -> https://www.aliefisd.net/cms/lib/TX01917308/Centricity/Domain/104/ADA-COVID%20MED%20CERTIFICATION.pdf
3. Once Risk Management receives the Google doc request AND the medical certification, the request will be processed. If the medical documentation bears out a need for an accommodation, Risk Management will work with campus to determine if an accommodation is possible.
4. Once a decision has been made, the employee and the supervisor will be informed.
