Holiday Fun Day
On December 20th, Students and staff participated in our second "Fun Day." Students and staff mixed into groups with people that they normally do not get to spend time with during the school day and rotated through 4 different stations. There was a movie in the auditorium, coloring in the library, making snowflakes in the cafeteria, and playing volleyball in the gym. A great time was had by all!
Students that needed to catch up on work were able to use the time in classrooms supported by teachers so they would be able to start back from winter break on track.

Keep up the great work ladies and gentlemen. We are so proud of your hard work having respect, ownership, courage, kindness, and safety. You are ROCKStars!
December's Student of the Month
Thursday marked the last school day of December and time to start celebrating our students and staff for their hard work and dedication. Angeleigh Legree was announced as Star Student for December. She earned multiple golden tickets from many different teachers this month. Teachers are proud of how hard she works in class. Angeleigh will be featured in our front hall of fame for the rest of the school year.
Golden tickets are earned by students who go "Above and beyond" the expectation of Respect, Ownership, Courage, Kindness, and Safety. Staff present golden tickets to students when they see them doing great things.
Congratulations, Angeleigh, for earning this honor. We are so proud of you and your hard work. You are a ROCKStar!
Employee of the Month for December
We want to congratulate our Employee of the Month for December, Mrs. Megan Murray! Mrs. Murray received a banner to hang in her office, and she will be featured in our front hall of fame on the main floor. Mrs. Lamothe will also be washing her car.
Mrs. Murray works so hard to support our students and staff. She is our building's guidance counselor and works closely with all our staff. Mrs. Murray works hard all the time, but this month Mrs. Murray organized all of our holiday festivities. She created our spirit day schedule, organized our Secret Santa and helped organize the support for our families in need. Our building would not be the same without her. We are so happy she is a part of our Scott Family. Congratulations, Mrs. Murray!
Ms.Gushanas was a runner up and received $5 gift cards to treat herself at Wawa.

Nurse's Corner
Just a couple reminders to families:
- Students should not be contacting families to be picked up when they are not feeling well. Students need to be assessed by the nurse and calls home will be made as needed. If families want to be called each time their student comes to the nurse, please email Ann Keenan, school nurse (keenana@casdschools.org). It is not standard practice to call home for non-urgent matters.
- Emergency Health Forms were sent home last week (lime green). If you did not complete the Emergency Health Information online, you must complete the paperwork and return it to the school nurse.
- Covid 19 is still causing illness and absences. Please continue to test and take precautions to avoid further spread. 5 days of isolation followed by 5 days of well-fitting masks is the current CDC guideline. (see below).
- The school nurse will be starting health screenings (Vision, Growth and Scoliosis). If your student has glasses, please make sure they have them for school.
