Contraception
Contraception is a really important aspect of having safer sex, it helps ensure that you won't get pregnant if you don't want to. there are different types of contraception; hormonal contraceptive pills or the vaginal ring; contraceptive injections or implants; intrauterine devices (either hormonal or non-hormonal), barrier contraception and fertility awareness based on methods.
Below are 3 different methods of contraception
Condom
Rubber or latex sheath traps sperm during sexual intercourse. Advantages: Readily available only use during sexual activity can be used as a backup method (98% effective if used correctly)
Contraceptive pill
1 pill consisting of 2 hormones (oestrogen and progestigen) taken same time daily prevents egg being released. Advantages: Can regulate menstrual cycle and reduce PMS and period pain. (99% effective if used correctly)
diaphragm
Dome or rubber placed over cervix to prevent sperm entering the uterus, Spermicides required Advantages: only use during sexual activity (95% effective if used correctly)
