Definition

A hurricane is : An intense tropical storm with winds up to 119 km/h .

Hurricane shape

Hurricanes have a circular shape with severe swirling winds .

Hurricane occurrence

Hurricanes in the southern hemisphere occur between November to March . Hurricanes in the northern hemisphere occur between July to October .

Hurricane eye

The eye is located in the center of the hurricane .

Hurricane formation

Hurricanes form over tropical seas , They need 2 fuels to keep them going , moist air & air . The surface is heated , water evaporates rapidly in the sky , when right the large area of warm , moist air starts to rise , the air starts to flow in the direction in this newly formed column of air rising . It then begins to come curved & spins counter clock wise & clock wise therefor a hurricane is formed .

Types of clouds & weather

The hurricane is associated with high winds & heavy rain . Along with nimbostratus clouds .

Scales of severity

Minimal : 74-95 mph , 4-5

Moderate : 96-110 mph , 6-8

Extensive : 111-130 mph , 9-12

Extreme : 133-155 mph , 13-18

Catastrophic : 155 + mph , 18 +

Precautions Of Hurricanes

Before : Be prepared for weather stations for updates . During : If told to evacuate , evacute emdiatley , don't wait or traffic will be jammed . If you do not evacuate stay indoors & not in the roads or anywhere else . After : Stayed tuned with weather stations & if injured call 911 & use a first aid kit . Check for damages .
