Primary Update

8th June

Nearing the end of term...

As we approach the end of term, I am aware that everyone is putting in a lot of effort to ensure everything is completed for this year, as well as planning for the following year. If there is any support you require please ask for it. It is important that we look after each other and make it to the end of term enthusiastic, healthy and ready for a well deserved rest.

The staff function on Friday is an excellent way to celebrate a successful year with colleagues, I would encourage all primary staff to try and make this event. It is sure to be a great evening. If you haven't already paid, please see Debbie no later than Monday. I look forward to seeing you there.

Congratulations - ACT Presentations

I would like to acknowledge Kim Ward, Loretta Romano, Kylie Harrison, Kate Jolly, Donna Ellery and Jason Boon for their outstanding work as part of the ESF ACT group. On Friday they had an opportunity to share their learning with other members of the ACT group and a number of school leadership representatives. I was most impressed with the enthusiasm (Kim danced) and passion demonstrated throughout the presentations, along with the excellent examples of teacher inquiry. It was a pleasure to listen to our DC staff talk about shifts in their own learning, as well as the evidence they had gathered of improved student learning. I believe the resources and sites they have created will be available to all in the near future. I would strongly encourage all staff to take a look.

Once again, congratulations to all!
