The Foundation for Fort Mill's Annual Chili Cook-Off

The Foundation for Fort Mill Schools works tirelessly to raise money to support teachers and students throughout the district. The Foundation offers scholarships for high school seniors, classroom grants for innovative teaching, and school supplies to students in need. One of the events that helps with their mission is the Chili Cook Off. Each year, a team from every school is sent to the annual Chili Cook Off. The winning team is determined by how much money their school can raise. We are hoping to get a head start! Everyone is invited to participate in the following activities to help Gold Hill take the lead:

*2020/2021 PTO Information Sessions

August of 2020 will be here before we know it! New schools opening and new attendance lines drawn will bring big changes to GHES. Sadly, the current PTO leaders have all been rezoned for another school and will no longer be at GHES beginning next school year. We need some great, friendly, dedicated parent volunteers who are willing to continue our PTO success and help our students and staff be the best they can be! If you have ever thought about getting involved in any type of way, GHES needs you! We are having a PTO information session day to have open discussion about next year and to answer any questions about PTO leadership or positions to fill. There will be two sessions on January 22, one at 9:30am and another that evening at 6:30pm. Both sessions will be held at GHES.

We hope that we will have parents come share ideas, concerns, questions, and to also commit their time in helping to restructure our PTO. If you’re unsure the time commitment or question whether you have the time, please come to have all your questions answered! If you just want information as to what will take place in regards to the PTO, please come! We are also inviting parents from other schools that have been rezoned to GHES. We want to welcome newcomers and get feedback and commitment from all who are invested in our school. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Helpful Tips!

With the holidays now behind us, here’s a helpful tip for all of our parents…when it comes to your children’s clothing items, especially those nicer jackets and tops, make it a habit to write your child’s first and last name inside on the tag. Our lost & found is constantly piling up with jackets, coats, sweatshirts, etc. (some rather expensive) and when the child’s name is written inside it is easy for us to help get the item returned! Thanks!
