PLP (conference) times were sent home with your child today on an orange sheet. Please return at your earliest convenience! Thanks!
News from Ms. Hess
In math this week we divided decimals by decimals learning that we must first multiply our decimal out of our divisor by a power of 10. Next week, we will open our first chapter on fractions - learning to multiply fractions first.
In literacy, we spent time finishing our explorer presentations. Next week, we will begin an individual biography project where your child will become an expert about a noteworthy individual. More to come next week about this exciting project!
In science, we demonstrated the phases of the moon with flashlights and miniature moons (all very exciting in a darkened gym!). We classified our planets by size, composition, distance from the sun, temperature, and began to learn about each in a little more detail.
