How do dogs get Circovirus?

IS IT BACTERIAL OR VIRAL? Viral
WHO DOES THE DISEASE AFFECT? Was known to infect pigs and birds but now is found in Dogs also
DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS: Vomiting, diarrhea, bleeding from the anus,abdominal swelling , fluid build up in the lungs, inflammation of the blood vessels.

HOW IS THE INFECTION DIAGNOSED?
To Really know if a dog really has circovirus vets would have to do a full diagnostic work up. Another way to diagnosed circovirus is until after the dog dies. Which is called a Postmortems which is a examination after the dog has died.
IS THE DISEASE TREATED OR CURED?
Currently there is no vaccine or cure for circovirus but treating infected dogs involves giving them supportive care. while their immune systems trying to fight off the virus.
HOW IS IT TREATED? HOW CAN THE DISEASE BE PREVENTED?
It cannot be treated but the Disease can be prevented by washing things daily and keeping pets healthy. People with pets should take pets to the vet. Keep healthy pets away from sick pets. Research shows that circovirus cannot be transmitted to humans but people should wash their hands after handling a pet especially when it is sick.
