From the Principal's Desk...
God so loved the world that he gave his only Son
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Summer break has arrived, and we wish everyone a safe, restful and enjoyable summer. We are deeply grateful for all of the support and encouragement the school received during this challenging time. As you begin your summer, please continue to be safe and stay well.
We are working to finish up the many, many end of the year tasks that are a part of the regular end of the year responsibilities. In addition to these tasks, we are working to develop and articulate a few possible scenarios for next school year. These will be reviewed and sent to everyone later in June.
Please be sure to watch the Virtual Candle Ceremony video which was published today and is also included below. Thanks to the wonderful efforts of Laura Heidorn, we will be able to see this important ceremony even though we could not have it in person. This act of handing on the leadership of the school from one 8th grade to the next is an important sign and symbol of who we are and who we want to be.
This coming Sunday the Church celebrates The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. This feast which is always the Sunday after Pentecost invites us into one of the Church’s deepest mysteries. We are not able to fully understand this mystery, but in believing what has been revealed, we are able to embrace what we do not know. We are reminded in the Gospel (JN 3:16), “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.”
All of us have been experiencing a world that we do not fully understand. We have been dealing with challenges which have tested our resolve and perhaps our beliefs. This Sunday and every day of our lives we are called to trust in this promise even when we are faced with mystery and the unknown. God so loved the world that he gave his only Son. May your summer be filled with Grace.
Peace,
Dan Minelli

The Garage Pop-Up Bookstore
The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County's Friends of the Library has opened a new bookshop in the garage of their Hartwell warehouse.
Aptly called “The Garage,” the bookstore features gently used books both bundled and organized by age range and reader level, as well as games and puzzles. Customers can purchase bundles for curbside pick-up or browse individuals titles after making an appointment. You can also purchase book bundles for schools and neighborhoods, including local "Little Free Libraries."
