Gandhi connecting to Thoreau's essay "Civil Disobidence"
Gandhi like Thoreau was sent to jail for his nonviolent protest against the unjust laws. Thoreau's essay, "Civil Disobedience" inspired Gandhi to keep pushing through the hard times we faced. Thoreau said in his essay "It does not keep the country free. It does not settle the west. It does not educate", he was speaking aobut he government. Like Thoreau, Gandhi on teh other side of the world lacked full rights as well as Thoreau did. They both were not really free in tehir sides of the world. Gandhi once said "without action, you aren't going anywhere", like Thoreau, Gandhi and Thoreau were both non-violence protesters. THey spoke out for their sides of the world, through whatever they could do, weather that was their action of words.
