ASUWB November Student of the Month

Alia Kusumaningrat

Alia is an extremely hard working young woman with a variety of passions she shares with students on and off of the UW Bothell campus. Her number one passion is journalism and storytelling, much of which can be seen through work as editor-in-chief for the Husky Herald, the student publication at UW Bothell, and volunteering her spare time as a former intern at the Seattle Globalist and contributing to the International Examiner newspaper located in Seattle's International District. Alia, who is originally from Indonesia, is also a full-time student, assistant to the professor in the Media and Communications department, and the vice chair for the Gender Equity club at UW Bothell. Her enthusiasm in equity for gender, racial diversity, and freedom of speech is truly inspiring. Her drive and compassion as a student with experience in a variety different cultural and educational backgrounds encourages her peers to try new things and always voice their opinion.

Please help us on congratulating Alia Kusumaningrat! Thank you for making a positive impact within the UWB community and campus. You are much appreciated!
