Early Dismissal and Parent Teacher Conference Friday, September 29th.

Keep in mind, pre-scheduling your conference will be the only way to speak with your teachers on September 29th!

Look Out! Progress Report Cards for 6th-12th Grades To Be Distributed
Progress Reports distribution has been rescheduled for next week due to technical difficulties. Please log on to your child's database in Skyward to see current grades.
School Start Time 7:55
It is essential for students to learn every minute possible. Please be reminded that first period starts at 7:55 A.M. Students should report be ready to learn by that time! Refer to our Tardy Policy at the end of our Newsletter for more information!
Attention Harmony Family: Updated Drop Off and Pick-Up Policy
Please review the updated drop off and pick up procedures for Harmony School of Nature!
During DROP OFF
Students can be dropped off at two locations in the morning: the cafeteria doors by the playground, and the cafeteria doors at the other end of the school. Students cannot enter the school through the front doors; they will be redirected outside to the cafeterias instead. Students can enter the school through one of the cafeterias until 8:05 am. After 8:05, students must enter the school through the front door instead.
In order to keep traffic slowing smoothly in the morning, please follow the following procedures: elementary students and their siblings should enter the campus using the primary entrance. All other middle and high school students should use the designated ramp and circle the school. Their drop off point is at the other cafeteria. Parents will not be able to cut across from the middle/high school ramp to the elementary drop off spot.
School begins promptly at 7:55. Students arriving after 7:55 will be counted tardy. Please make arrangements accordingly.
During DISMISSAL
Elementary and middle school dismiss at 3 pm. Parents wanting to pick up their students early must arrive in the front office prior to 2:40 pm. High school students dismiss at 3:20 pm. They can be picked up early until 3 pm.
Elementary and middle school students will be dismissed from the back doors, NOT the cafeteria at 3:00 pm. Middle and high school siblings will go to their elementary siblings' classes and pick them up to go outside. Please remember that the outside lane is for passing only. Students cannot be picked up using the outside lane. All middle and high school students are required to remain in the back of the school until 3:45 pm.

Student Lunch Account Information
Harmony strives each day to provide a safe, caring and collaborative atmosphere for our students. Upon enrollment in Harmony Public Schools, each student is provided a lunch account onto which money may be deposited for breakfast, lunch, or a la carte milk. We are very pleased to announce that we will be using a new and innovative information system named Skyward. Skyward’s Family Access will assist with maintaining open lines of communication between the school and home.

Can you help? Community members and parents are encouraged to volunteer. Every day, volunteers fulfill essential needs especially in the administrative, support and fundraising areas so that HPS's teaching staff can focus all its energy on its young students. Volunteers may be utilized in the classrooms, assisting in the office, or at community fundraising events. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up at harmony.voly.org
Attendance Policy
It is our goal to keep an accurate record of your student’s attendance as required by the State of Texas. In order to do this, we need your support and cooperation. We want to inform you of our new “Absence” policy. Attached are the links in both English and Spanish. You may also find additional attendance information in the Student Handbook on pages 12-13.
