Wayne williams, or better known as the atlanta child murder was found guilty on the murder of two adults although he is suspected to have murdered more than twenty children.
Possible bias
At the time race played a pivotal role in the case due to high tension between the African american community and America. Although race may have not been the overall determining factor it still had an effect on the overall results and to deny any type of possible bias would be frivolous.
Evidence
The evidence found was fiber that matched Wayne Williams's personal possessions and eyewitness accounts.
Conviction
Wayne Williams was arrested on June, 21, 1981, and was found guilty of the murders of Cater and Jimmy Ray Payne. Due to evidence found at the crime scene being directly linked to williams's possessions he was given two consecutive life terms.
