Most Important Chinese Inventions

The Chinese were extremely progressive in many territories, but they arguably the most advanced in the field of medicine. From example, the Chinese invented the small pox inoculation, which involved taking a scab infected with the disease, grinding it into a powder, and then putting it up the patient's nose. This taught the immune system how to fight the disease, so if the person caught it, their body would know how to defend itself against it. This incredibly important invented led to our modern day vaccine. Another medical novelty the Chinese dreamed up is the process of disinfectant, using poisonous smoke to kill germs, similar the chlorine bleach that we use today.
Money is a convenient little object that holds a great deal of value in our lives, and we have China to thank for it. Paper money is the number one type of currency in the world, spanning all over the globe. It is also very convenient, a person can carry it around in their pocket, inconspicuously, unlike coins, which clink and clank around.
Gunpowder was invented in China around 850 C.E. by alchemists on accident, and yet that accident has given us one of the essential items for modern warfare. Gunpowder powers weapons for war, such as canons, rifles, pistols, and various other fire arms. But gunpowder isn't only used for weaponry. This black powder can also be found in fireworks and rockets, that put on a lovely show for us pyromaniacs.
