Week of September 19th
Happy Monday Teachers!
Hope you all had a relaxing and restful weekend! We have had a great start to the year and that could not be accomplished without you! You guys have been great and I have been able to see some awesome things happening in classrooms. Let's keep that momentum going as he hit this mid-point in the quarter!
Welcome to TBK8!
We have several new faces around TBK8! Please welcome Ms. Jennifer Walker to our team. She is our new Algebra and Geometry teacher. Please welcome Mr. Berkeley Thomas. He is teaching 7th and 8th grade Social Studies. And last but not least, please welcome Mr. Justin Jones. He is teaching 8th grade Language Arts. We are all so excited to have you here!
Shout Out!!
One big shout out to all the middle schoolers and teachers for an incredible Boosterthon Color Run and fundraiser! The kids were excited and hyper but did a fantastic job out there! And of course we could not make it happen without you all! Thank you for all you did to help it go smooth. Students will start bringing their donations in this week. Look for an email on internal for the procedures.

Tuesday, September 20th-- 11:00 Luncheon for perfect FSA and/or EOC score students
Tuesday, September 20th-- 4:10 Full faculty meeting in the upper campus cafeteria
Wednesday, September 21st-- 7:30 am SAC meeting in the Upper Campus Media Center
Thursday, September 22nd-- 5:00 Conference Night, 6:30 Accelerated Math parent meeting
Friday, September 23rd-- 8:15 Grandparents Breakfast on both campuses

Looking Ahead
On September 27th all students will have picture day. For fall pictures students must be in uniform. Pictures for middle schoolers will go through social studies classes. Ms. Barone will be sending out a schedule.
October 13th all 8th graders will attend a presentation from King High School's theater department during 1st period in the upper campus cafeteria.
October 19th all 8th graders will take the PSAT. I will be providing information regarding this test soon. This will impact 6th and 7th grade teachers as well so make sure to read all emails carefully with information regarding PSAT.
October 30th we will have our first STEM student of the month. We will be on a regular bell schedule. All students participating will check into homeroom and then report to the media center.
General Reminders
Sign in and out- Please be sure to sign in each morning and sign-out if you are leaving early at the time you are leaving. You cannot sign out in the morning ahead of time.
Comp time- If you are requesting to use comp time you must do so 24 hours in advance. You can submit these forms to either myself or Mr. Bullock.
Passes- Only one student at a time should be out with a pass. They should not be out during the first or last ten minutes of class.
Attendance- Submit your attendance by 9:15 every morning. Please make sure this is accurate. If you have questions about attendance call Ms. Dori in student affairs.
