Ash Wednesday

Our Ash Wednesday Mass will be live streamed to K-2 classrooms. Third and fourth grade will be in the Parish center. There are very LIMITED spots for parents. Please contact Amy Davis to reserve a spot.

Children will receive ashes on Ash Wednesday by sprinkling on the head (think a pinch of salt) during Mass on Wednesday. There will be NO school Mass on Tuesday or Thursday next week.

Kindergarten Round Up

We would like to invite all prospective Kindergartners and their parents to our Round Up on March 4th, 2021, from 6:30-7:30 pm. Students will have an opportunity to meet their teacher and see their classroom while parents will learn about the curriculum and Kindergarten program. We are offering a $1000 WELCOME GRANT for families new to our school. Please spread the word!

Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras will be held during the school day on Tuesday, February 16 (the actual Fat Tuesday of Mardi Gras!). Students who purchased one of our 2021 Mardi Gras t-shirts may wear them to school with uniform bottoms. HSA has purchased each student 5 tickets to use at the carnival.

Parents may purchase up to an additional 5 tickets (1 ticket = $1) for their child. Each game/activity will cost 1 ticket.

Rather than getting candy/trinkets for playing each game, we will be packaging candy and trinkets for each student and will deliver those to the homeroom teachers. You can send those home with kiddos at the end of the day or let them have the candy/prizes as you see fit.

There will be some 'walk away prizes' students could win....at Prize Wheel, Cake Walk, Bingo, Lollipop Tree, Balloon Art, or Soda Ring Toss. Once a student 'wins' once at these games, they will not be allowed to play that same game again.

We also will have individually wrapped Lamar's glazed donuts for purchase (1 ticket) that students may eat during lunch or at the end of the day (at your discretion).

We know there is a lot of junk food/candy/activities for this day...it is FAT TUESDAY, after all!

Finally, we are selling raffle tickets for $1 each. Students/Staff may purchase as many tickets as you like! These and the additional game tickets can be purchased in the office. Please send the exact change or a check for those tickets. We will be selling tickets in the carpool line starting next week. I would appreciate it if you include the raffle items and Mardi Gras information in your Friday newsletters.
