President's Message
Big Kudos to Leslie-Anne Ball and her committee for hosting a fabulous Reflections Art ceremony! Did you know it’s a PTA sponsored event? The Reflections Art Ceremony was a wonderful tribute to all our Reflections participants. Great Job Leslie-Anne!
Also, Erin Harden and her crew deserve a big thank you! The MCES Food Drive brought in 1038.4 pounds of food. The MCES PTA was able to provide 86.4 lbs to Mrs. Fillard for the Snack Buddies and 952 lbs to the Holly Springs Food Cupboard. Just another way our PTA and students are helping support our local community.
Mark your calendar for November 17th at 7pm for our General PTA meeting. You will get PTA updates, including ways to become involved in Science Olympiad and a view of the new K-2 playground plans. Childcare will be provided. Many exciting events happening with your MCES PTA~Please consider helping us out! We could use your help!
Happy Fall Y’all!

Grade Night Out
Calling all Kindergarteners and 1st Graders!
You're invited to our Grade Night Out at McDonald's this Tuesday evening, 11/10, 5:00-8:00pm. Come see your teachers and even Mrs. Parrish as they greet you, take your order at the Counter or Drive-Thru! This is a great fundraiser for our school -- we get 25% of sales! So feel free to bring all family members.
Other grades are welcome to come, too, if you'd like to visit with your former kindergarten or 1st grade teachers! There will be games and prizes -- fun for all! McDonald's location is at Millpond Village, Ten-Ten Rd. and Kildaire Farm Rd.
See you there!

Food Drive Update
MCES Food Drive was a Success!
Thanks to all of you, the Food Drive was a big success!! We collected 1,038 pounds of donations, which will go straight to help families in the Holly Springs community. MCES has shown how much we care.
Thank you to all the students and their families for their many donations. We had 45 boxes of donations this year!! Although we did not meet our goal, we did a great job helping out our fellow neighbors with our generous donations.
A big thank you, also, to volunteers Sharon Brown, Amy Eury, Deborah Herring, Misty Hunt, Kim Coleman, Emilee Robb, and Debbie Flanigan for packing the many donations. As always, we could not do this without the support of Mrs. Parrish, who lends us her office in which to pack and store the donations every year; the MCES front office personnel, with special thanks to Ms. Carter, and the many other PTA volunteers who help get the word out for us!
Thank you!
Erin Harden, PTA Food Drive Chair
