International Night - January 26, 2024 🌎 🌍 🌏
Parkside Elementary is hosting an International Night on Friday, January 26th from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. The Diversity Committee is helping organize and plan this event. Our goal is to celebrate the diversity of our students at Parkside, by engaging in activities that highlight the wonderful cultures and traditions that are a part of our community.
We are looking for students and parents to participate through creating a Country Booth, a Culture Booth or through performances. Please sign-up before Jan. 3rd to be a part of the International night. Once you sign up, you will receive more information on next steps from one of our Diversity Committee Members.
Booth Volunteers will manage a booth from either a country listed below that represents a Parkside student or any country even if it's not listed. You may also use a booth to represent your culture that may be represented or celebrated in many different cultures (including religions!). For each booth, we are looking for a tri-fold giving details of the country, artifacts, books, flags, clothing or food representing that country. Inspiration and more information can be found here: https://sites.google.com/leanderisd.org/parksideesl/international-night
Please signup below for the country culture you would like to represent, if your country is not on the list please let us know and email : email@example.com
Performances: Please share the name of the performer, the performance type and the amount of time your performance will take (no more than 10 minutes is the threshold). A member of the committee will reach out to you to confirm your performance time and the expectations leading up to International Night including rehearsals.
