Week 7 - Learn the Truth About Cholesterol

I pray that you have a Merry Christmas! And that the true meaning of Christmas fills your life with joy.

An abnormal cholesterol is a risk factor that increases our chance of developing heart disease and stroke.

Cholesterol is controlled by the amount our bodies makes and the lifestyle choices we make - eating healthy foods, being physically active, maintaining a healthy weight and not smoking.

There are things that we can do to control cholesterol. One goal we could accomplish by the end of the month is using an alternative to butter that is low in saturated fat and without trans fat. All-or-none thinking is "negative, unrealistic, and unhelpful".

We can set ourselves up for success by setting small, simple goals that we can easily incorporate into our lifestyles.
