Today' Background

Today's background is brought to you by Saint Kateri School and Fr. Gonyo. It was taken during our 10th Annual Walk-A-Thon Pep Rally and Prayer Service. We look forward to celebrating together again in prayer and celebration!
Hello Saint Kateri School families!

This week marks the 5th week of Lent! We have been lucky these past two weeks to be able to connect with each other in so many ways-some of the online ways we didn't even know about until now. At 9:00 am today I began doing a Facebook LIVE event for Morning Prayer and Announcements and I will continue to do this until we can do it together. Each day I will post the video on our website for those families who are not using Facebook. I am hoping to continue to add some of our regular routines back into this time away. Next up will be my next Whole School Read Aloud!

Saint Kateri School began a community service project at the beginning of Lent as part of our Lenten service. We were able to share the canned goods that we had already collected with Mary Cariola.

This Wednesday, April 1st we would have been participating in Can-Struction and each class would be creating a structure to add to our community. We need community now more than ever! All this week ~ build a community structure together with your family. On Thursday, send the picture to your Teacher or post your pictures on Facebook! Let’s see your creativity

As the April 1st deadline for all NYS school closure approached, the Governor has re-assessed The Governor today announced that all schools in NYS will continue to be closed until April 15th. While this is not ideal ~ with everything that we are hearing from the medical experts, the absolutely best thing to do. He will re-assess again as the next deadline approaches.

You can contact me via email (Terri.Morgan@dor.org) or through the school phone number (585) 467-8730. Any messages received by the Main Office phone will be forwarded to the appropriate person. Do not hesitate to reach out to myself or your child's teacher with any questions or concerns.

We miss you and we love you! Take care of yourself and each other! Thank you for all you are doing to support your children and their school during this time!

God bless ~

Tuition and Extended Care Payments

Being able to support our families and students during this very difficult time is our highest priority. We will continue to collect tuition payments per agreement policies but understand households may experience a change in income. We will work to offer flexibility to any families that may be experiencing extenuating circumstances.

The School Finance Department is currently working on Extended Care bills. As a result of the school closure, this bill will only include the first two weeks of March. They will be mailed out this week and will be charged through FACTS on April 15th.

If you have any questions regarding Tuition or Extended Care payments please call Annette Syracusa at (585) 544-8889 ext. 2108 and leave a message, she will call you back. You can also email her at Annette.Syracusa@dor.org.
