Carolina Springs Elementary
March 2022
A March message from Principal Brown
Where did February go? Wow!
March brings us Women’s History Month, Read Across America Week, the end of the 3rd nine weeks and another 4 day weekend for students and staff.
I hope that you all are enjoying the warmer temperatures and longer days. This time of year is always a great time to enjoy the outdoors and all that our community has to offer.
With the new guidance from the CDC and DHEC, I am excited that CSES is able to go back into the low/moderate community spread protocols that provide a more “normal” elementary school experience. We will all be back in the cafeteria and playing with friends in different classes at recess by March 7, 2022. We will begin to welcome parents back into the cafeteria to eat with their children and also have volunteers at school on Monday, March 14, 2022. The volunteer application link can be found here.
With all of these changes we hope to be able to enjoy the typical Spring activities such as Field Day and a 5th grade Promotion ceremony. We certainly are not completely through with this pandemic, but the outlook at this point is more promising in our school!
I encourage everyone to continue reading with your children each night and keep your focus on academic and social growth through this spring season. We will have an exciting last 12 weeks of school, but a very important 12 weeks for students to find their academic success!
Oh, the places we’ll go!
