Spring Break is Right Around the Corner: March 25th-April 1st
1. Rocky Mountain National Park is wonderful in the winter. The crowds are less, parking is easy to find and many trails can be hiked without a whole lot of winter gear. Bundle the kids up and let them run and roll in the snow, start a snowball fight or look for animals that are around.
2. Go sledding at Hidden Valley in Rocky Mountain National Park. There's not a lot of places to sled in Estes and this is a beautiful location. The quality of sledding can be impacted by recent weather, it's best to call RMNP for up to date conditions of the hill.
2. The Community Center has various class offerings, programs and of course the pool! If your not a member you can buy a day pass for a reasonable fee.
3. Gather a group of friends and have a family game and dinner night! Let your kids pick the games and help plan and cook the dinner.
4. A short drive will get you to the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, The Denver Zoo, The Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Get Air Trampoline Park in Longmont, The Boulder Museum in Boulder or the WOW Children's Museum in Lafayette. All charge fees to enter but have enough to do so you could spend the whole day filled with fun and education!
5. Have you kids write down one (or more) things they would like to do at home with you. Could be in the evening once everyone's home from work. Put all ideas in a hat and pick one or two of them during Spring Break and have some family fun!
