Behind on Utility Payments?

The Governor's Moratorium for electricity, natural gas, late fees, and disconnections ended on September 30, 2021.

If you are behind on your payments, contact the City of Oak Harbor Utility Billing to make a payment or set up a payment plan by calling (360) 279-4530.

City Council Workshop

The City Council is meeting on Wednesday, October 27 at 2 p.m. at City Hall in a hybrid format. The public can attend the meeting in person. All City Council members and visitors will be required to wear a face mask, regardless of vaccination status.

Salmon Rearing Returns to Oak Harbor

I am excited to announce that the Salmon Rearing Project is returning to the Oak Harbor Marina this year. Harbormaster Chris Sublet will present an update about this project at the City Council Workshop on Wednesday, October 27 at 2 p.m.

An Opportunity to Provide Public Comment

The City is seeking feedback from the community on two projects:

SE 3rd Avenue

This proposed Public Works project is seeking comments on the current plan. Learn more about the project and submit your comments online at

Two Zoning Ordinances Changes

The Development Services Department is seeking comments on two upcoming zoning ordinance changes to allow for horizontal mixed-use and new land-use matrix. Details for the ordinance changes are available on the Latest News page of the City website starting October 27. Comments are requested by November 2, 2021, at 5 p.m.

Don't forget! General Election ballots are due on November 2, 2021, before 8 p.m.

A ballot drop box is available at City Hall. More information about local elections and voting resources are available from Island County Elections.

Due to the election, the City Council Meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 6 p.m. instead of Tuesday, November 2. More details for this meeting are available on the City website.
