PSSA Information
Grades 3-6 will be participating in our state-wide PSSA tests starting on April 20th. The following is our testing schedule here at Titus, with all testing happening in the morning:
English/Language Arts – Week of April 20th
Math & Science – Week of April 27th
The best way to prepare for these assessments is to get a good night’s sleep and eat a good breakfast. If anyone is absent during a testing day, the makeup test will be administered upon the student’s return. If you have any questions regarding any of the testing please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Pustay or Mrs. Horan.
Community Connections
Dear Titus Elementary School Families,
Please join me in the Titus library on April 27 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. for this school year’s second “Community Connections” meeting.
These meetings are designed to encourage frank conversations about a shared vision for the future of our schools. I continue to be grateful for the feedback and ideas that our families share with me during these meetings. I hope you can find time to attend.
Stay Well,
John J. Kopicki, Ed.D.

From the Nurse - Forms
Our school nurse, Mrs. Donovan, has recently sent email reminders to parents about the required physical and dental forms. Please make sure that if you are in receipt of this email, to turn in the necessary forms as soon as possible. It is important for any upcoming field trips and field day that we have the necessary physicals and dental forms. You can find a copy of the forms below.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

What You Need to Know...
Latest Update from Dr. KOPICKI as of 1:57PM 3/6/2020 (this information can also be found on www.cbsd.org)
Good afternoon Central Bucks families,
In light of today’s challenging situation, we would like to provide a few brief updates to answer some common questions, and help our families plan for the coming days.
- Central Bucks Community School aftercare programming will close at 4:30 p.m. Parents are asked to pick up their children as early as possible so that deep cleaning of all facilities may begin.
- All Central Bucks School District buildings will be closed beginning at today’s dismissal and through the weekend (3/6/20-3/8/20). There are no after school activities or practices beginning today, and no outside organizations may use our indoor facilities.
- All in-district after school and evening activities are cancelled. Planned band and athletic activities that are scheduled to take place off-site will continue as scheduled. Pickup will occur in the school parking lot, but no one will be given access to the school building.
- Deep cleaning of all Central Bucks School buildings will begin this afternoon immediately following the closing of schools and continue throughout the weekend.
- In addition, all buses will be cleaned and disinfected.
- Both Central Bucks and First Student buses will be cleaned utilizing the same protocol and products.
- All buildings and buses will be deep cleaned using products on the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) registered antimicrobial products list for use against COVID-19 and industry best practices that our facilities staff use during every cold and flu season.
At this time no decisions about the reopening of schools have been made. We will continue to work with the Bucks County Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Health Department to evaluate the most current information throughout the weekend. We will remain in communication and provide updated information on our website at www.cbsd.org.covid.
Stay Well,
John J. Kopicki, Ed.D.
