Dear MMHS Families,


This week closes out our second trimester for the middle school and we will enter our final third of the school year. The end of the year gets busy with lots of events! One important event coming up is Family/Educator Conferences. These will be held on March 13th and 14th and are mandatory across Propel. Please be sure to schedule accordingly with your child's crew leader. We look forward to seeing you in the coming weeks! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions and concerns.

MMHS Staff Updates

This week we welcome Mr. Ross Mickley, 8th Grade Math! Math educators are hard to come by so we are excited to bring Mr. Mickley on board!


We are still in search of the following middle and high school positions:

8th Grade Celebration of Learning

Thursday, March 9th, 1pm

McKees Rocks, PA

8th Grade Families are invited to attend the Celebration of Learning, a production by Attack Theatre! Doors will open at 12:30pm. Please leave yourself time to go through security and find a seat. The show will begin at 1pm.

Propel High Schools Staff v. Student Basketball Game

Friday, March 24th, 12-2pm

605 East 10th Avenue

Munhall, PA

This month's high school incentive is our annual staff versus student basketball game at Propel Andrew Street! The event will be held on March 24th. The following staff and scholars will be playing in the game, representing Montour HS:

  • Mr. McLaurin
  • Mr. Eckhardt
  • Mr. Mott
  • Kahrijah Washington
  • Janai Green
  • Danny Roberts


Scholars will have the opportunity to attend the game as a field trip by meeting the following requirements:

  • No suspensions during the month of March
  • No more than 1 detention during the month of March
  • No more than 3 unexcused absences during the month of March


We will take the top 50 scholars. If more than 50 scholars qualify, we will factor in GPA. Permission slips will be sent home on Tuesday, March 21st and will be due Thursday, March 23rd.

March Middle School Incentive

Scholars will be earning EPIC points throughout the month of March to attend a field trip to the movie theater on April 6th to see Ant Man (PG-13). To qualify, scholars must meet the following:


  • No suspensions during the month of March
  • No more than 3 DeansList referrals during the month of March
  • No more than 3 unexcused absences during the month of March
  • Must earn 500 EPIC points



Permission slips will go home on March 29th and will be due on Friday, March 31st.
